The apartment was for a couple who live alone. They wanted a space where they could enjoy everyday life as if it were the weekend. They fell in love with the view and wanted a refuge in the heart of the city where they could enjoy the outdoor leisure area with children, grandchildren and friends.
Accessibility was also an important point in the briefing, as we anticipated the possibility of a wheelchair passing through all the doorways of the apartment if necessary.
A lifting platform was also installed as an option to access the upper floor.

The clients wanted an oasis in São Paulo. As it is a penthouse and the bedrooms and kitchen are on the lower floor, the entire upper floor was dedicated to the social area: a gourmet area, TV room, living room, pool with deck and an outdoor lounge.
This way, they have the convenience of having everyday tasks concentrated on one floor and the upper floor exclusively for leisure.

Renovation of an apartment. The space was conceived as a whole, resizing each environment to meet the clients’ needs. Three suites were transformed into a master suite with closet, home office, his bathroom and her bathroom, and one guest suite. We relocated the staircase, creating a wider staircase with better access, and used the former staircase opening to install the lifting platform. On the lower floor: suites, living room, dining room (everyday use), powder room, kitchen with breakfast area and service area. On the upper floor: another living area, gourmet area, dining room (for entertaining), TV room, sauna with relaxation area and powder room, outdoor lounge, pool and pool deck. A generous quartzite staircase with a glass railing and the lifting platform serve both floors.

A complete renovation was carried out to accommodate the new layout, including both electrical and plumbing systems.

The concept of the project was practicality combined with elegance. The clients wanted a functional environment that they could enjoy every day. A space that would be good for entertaining but also for daily use.
The sauna came before the apartment. The client fell in love with the view and her husband said he would only live there if there was space for a sauna. We incorporated a large dry sauna into the project, with a relaxation area and powder room.
It was important that they would not need to go upstairs every day. They would go up whenever they wished to enjoy it.
The outdoor area was one of the highlights of the project. The pool in the original building design was already large, and we decided to keep its original size. We enlarged the deck to include sun loungers and a table with four chairs to serve the pool area.
The idea was to make greater use of the outdoor area. Therefore, we created a lounge area with a sofa and armchairs adjacent to the pool.

The clients needs were certainly the key point of the project. We worked around these needs, balancing social and private areas to provide comfort both for daily life and when entertaining guests. The division of spaces was extremely important, and every wall and piece of furniture was thoughtfully and meticulously placed.

In the living room on the lower floor, we were able to use the clients existing furniture from their previous apartment, which was also designed by our office. We reupholstered the sofas and incorporated them into the new project.
We wanted a durable and low-maintenance flooring solution, and one that would be consistent throughout. Therefore, for the social areas, service areas, and both upper and lower floors, we chose porcelain tiles. In the private areas, we used wood to provide warmth and coziness.
Since we used a cool flooring material, we introduced wood panels on the walls to warm up the spaces and create continuity.
On the upper floor, in the outdoor area, cement planks create unity with the gray porcelain flooring. We used Platinum Gray quartzite in the gourmet area, bar and staircase. It brings sophistication and beauty to the space.
