On the island of Albarella, in the northern Adriatic, architect Genny Augusti of the Studio di Architettura Leonardo has designed a place characterised by water and lightness - Villa Levante. It is a house suspended over a large swimming-pool. Inspired by the architecture of Mies Van Der Rohe, the project aims to enhance traditional materials with pure, minimalist design.
To facilitate continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, Memento porcelain stonewarewas chosen in the Silver colour, with a concrete grey effect and the large size (75x150 cm) which requires only minimal, almost non-existent joints. The Memento20 (50x100 cm) extra-thick concrete-effect stoneware collection was chosen to cover the terrace, laid on a raised paving system.
Some parts of the bathrooms were covered withMystone Ceppo di Gré large size (75x150 cm) slabs, which help to give the bathroom a more intimate mood by evoking natural stone.
