Villa X is a research project. It’s a set of ideas, of spatial compositions and imagined spaces that, though not even leading to a unified vision or composition, aim to constitute the unified feeling of a possible house.
A set of intertwined and interdependent spaces that almost generate themselves.
The house is nonetheless based on a precise typology, that is the use of rammed earth construction for the walls and a series of vaulted spaces. The structure is clear and apparently simple.
It is the play between the different spaces that creates richness, depth and proper ambiances for the possible different activities of the inhabitants.
Villa X è un progetto di ricerca. È un insieme di idee, di composizioni spaziali e di spazi immaginati che, sebbene non conducano nemmeno a una visione o composizione unificata, mirano a costituire una sensazione unitaria di una casa possibile.
Un insieme di spazi intrecciati e interdipendenti che quasi si auto-generano.
La casa è comunque basata su una precisa tipologia, ovvero l’utilizzo di una costruzione in terra cruda battuta per le pareti e una serie di spazi voltati. La struttura è chiara e apparentemente semplice.
È il gioco tra i diversi spazi che crea ricchezza, profondità e ambienti adeguati alle possibili diverse attività degli abitanti.
