The Challenge
To reinvent the new epicentre of social and business rendezvous at OUE Bayfront.

Inspired by Singapore’s affluent, cosmopolitan energy, the design of VUE rooftop bar & grill exudes modern elegance with subtle touches of intricate details throughout its high-end, stylish finishes. This ranges from the Italian furniture selection, to view-oriented, efficient spatial planning and integrated lighting curated and programmed to adapt to the changing ambience throughout the day and night.

Accessible via a private elevator, you are welcomed into a bejewelled path and entry hallway with an impressive showcase of a floor-to-ceiling wine display and bespoke art, punctuated by a tall mirrored ceiling creating a bold sense of arrival and anticipation.

Entering the main dining area, guests will be awed by the sudden expansion of spatial volume formed by the cathedral-effect, barrel vault ceiling made of oxidized copper against the backdrop of the spectacular Marina Bay, evoking a sensational moment. While luxurious ink and tan leather seats create a comfortable setting, the warm lighting from the lamps lined along the refined millwork wall softens the overall atmosphere.

The exclusive private dining room is outfitted with a generously sized custom-made table made of exotic wood veneer, chairs clad in beautifully detailed leather, a rich wool and silk area rug all while being surrounded by deep millwork and gold accents.  This is in-vogue dining experience with equally unparalleled views of the skyline. The outdoor rooftop spritz bar offers an open and light-hearted drinking space topped by the occasional sea breeze and panoramic city views.

The overall composition of exquisite materials and natural finishes delivers the impression of atmospheric luxury, yet with a visible uniqueness and appreciation of the finer details. The elegant interiors and echoless acoustics invite VUE guests to savor fusion delicacies as they enjoy the stunning vistas of Marina Bay and the Singapore skyline over intimate conversations.

VUE Restaurant

Bross Italy as Chairs

Overlooking Marina Bay, the new cult restaurant in Singapore is furnished by Bross

VUE Restaurant is a must-visit destination in Singapore: with a panoramic view of the large Marina Bay district, it offers an elegant and refined environment and all-Italian furnishings, with materials and sartorial details.

It does not reach the dizzying heights of other buildings in Singapore, but its location on the dock of Marina Bay gives it an incredible view of the most fashionable district of the city: OUE Bayfront is located in front of the petal-shaped structure of the ArtScience Museum and the iconic towers topped by the transatlantic liner of Marina Bay Sands, which years ago had travelled around the world. On its top floor, with full-height windows projected onto the architecture of Safdie Architects, one of the cult venues of the year for the Asian metropolis was inaugurated in early 2020: VUE Restaurant, whose name evokes both the spectacular view and the refined international cuisine served to customers.

The restaurant indeed has a true fusion character, with influences borrowed from east to west: the dishes offered are mostly French, with northern European or Japanese references; the wines are always French, Italian, Californian and Australian, arranged like works of art in glass cases at controlled temperature in the entrance corridor; the interior design has a global scope, thanks to the signature of the studio Chil Interior Design, that is a brand of B+H Architects; finally, the furniture, elegant and tailored, has an all-Italian imprint.

Open on the large outdoor terrace where it is possible to enjoy cocktails until late at night, the VUE room, with its long and narrow floor plan, recalls a classic environment, but totally revisited in the finishes. The floor is made of wooden slats arranged in herringbone pattern while the barrel shaped ceiling recalls a cathedral and is covered with copper plates illuminated by a linear body, placed in the center. Three of the walls are entirely glazed and marked by black windows and doors, whose rhythm is repeated both in the design of the roof and in the last wall, treated with a sequence of niches with dark wood panelling and soft lamps, on which a long upholstered bench develops.

Arranged in two parallel rows, the tables are rectangular, square or elliptical, with brass legs and profiles to embellish the top, in black marble, on which is placed a small room lamp in copper finish. The color of the metal also returns in the upholstery of the seats that furnish the restaurant: the comfortable armchairs, from the Break collection by Bross, have in fact the backrest of the seat with leather upholstery in copper tones, punctuated by thin vertical stitching, while the shell and legs are in black stained wood.

Designed by Enzo Berti, the seats have also been used for the private dining room of the restaurant, which uses the same materials as the interior design, such as the dark wood panelling, the copper cover and a carpet with geometric patterns with circular patterns on which is placed the large table that can accommodate up to twelve people. The fine finishes and details of the surfaces and furnishings of the privée and the large panoramic room are finally highlighted by the lighting, designed by B+H Architects with the collaboration of consultants, which provides different scenarios depending on the time of day, to ensure guests an exciting moment and the best experience of visiting Singapore.
