Sustainable farming, organic practices, views of Mount Rainier, lake overlooks, as well as Tuscany and rural France inspirations are reflected through these tasting rooms designed by SkB Architects that embrace the vineyard lifestyle on the West Coast of the United States. All three (Bayernmoor Cellars, Tsillan Cellars, and Rocky Pond) are tucked away in the wine country of the Puget Sound Region, in Washington State.
Both a treat for the eye and the palate, the design reflects influences from wine-tasting bike trips through France and Italy to the soils and climate of the region blending past and present. Each winery comprises several small spaces on a single level, with a mostly open plan, and typically includes a main tasting bar, a variety of small seating areas, a separate space for small group gatherings and/or parties, and an outdoor patio.
