Advantages
Solid natural wood tambour possesses all the benefits of real wood, including durability and the option to be stained or painted to match any application. Unlike other companies, this tambour product offers a true 96" slat length, and it can be customized to lengths of up to 12 feet, depending on the wood species.

Dimensions
The standard size panels include 1' x 8' and 1' x 3' slat lengths, with standard widths of 12" and 16" (nominal size width). Custom sizes can also be discussed for specific applications. Red oak, white oak, and poplar are typically kept in stock, with additional options such as mahogany, cherry, ash, maple, walnut, and rare specialty woods like purple heart and heat-treated ash/poplar available. Custom wood profiles can also be produced upon request, offering flexibility and customization for different projects.

In addition to the numerous standard profiles, custom profiles can be produced upon request, allowing for more tailored and unique designs.

With its low setup cost and small minimum square footage, Solid Wood Tambour offers the opportunity to create a customized look, texture, and feel for various design needs. It is designed with a flexible backing that allows for easy installation, whether it's around curves, bar fronts, or other applications. The panels are typically glued up over any rigid substrate using standard paneling or construction adhesive. For thicker profiles, finishing nails are recommended to hold them in place until the adhesive sets.

Boqueria Fulton Market
Boqueria in Chicago is situated in the West Loop, an area undergoing gentrification. Most buildings in this former industrial and meatpacking neighborhood maintain an industrial look with large open floor plates and columns. In this project, the design incorporates wood and black tiles, reminiscent of the original Boqueria, to create a feeling of permanence and protection throughout the space. The prominent use of wood tambour as a surfacing solution, adds warmth and texture to the space. It contributes to the overall aesthetic by creating a sense of continuity and rhythm. Its natural and organic appearance resonates with the industrial surroundings.

239 4TH / ENCINITAS
Ocean views are just one of the perks of this modern new-construction home located across the sands of Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA. Inspired by Scandinavian design elements and infused with a flair for modernism, natural light takes center stage here. Tambour, a flexible wood paneling, graces many rooms, adorning walls and ceilings alike. This brings a timeless natural beauty that is complemented by streams of sunlight at every turn.

Revel Legacy

Private Label International, an award-winning interior design firm, was chosen by Revel Communities, a division of The Wolff Company, to design their new independent living community in Scottsdale, AZ. The design incorporates carefully chosen patterns and colors to aid memory retention, wayfinding, comfort, and sense of place. Here the effective use of Solid Tambour reflects timelessness. Additionally, the connection to the local area was emphasized, with the design embracing the spirit of the McDowell Mountain Preserve and featuring woven and matte materials as well as handmade art. Special attention was also given to the indoor/outdoor connection, as biophilic design has been shown to support cognitive function, physical health, and psychological well-being.
