Xinú Oaxaca

Xinú ® is a celebration of the sense of smell, an intimate, essential, profoundly human gesture.
Its name —“nose” in Otomí— speaks of the origin.

Born in Mexico, at the heart of the Americas. Recognizing no borders, it is a traveling seed that observes, learns, and transforms.

It inhabits a vast and living territory, stretching from the Arctic tundra to the Amazon rainforest, where the wild and the subtle coexist.

Xinú ® translates this landscape into olfactory experiences that unfold far beyond scent: into matter, space and memory.

It draws from botany and ancient wisdom, from craftsmanship and culture, from what endures and is yet to be revealed.

Each creation is an encounter: between nature and design, between intuition and rigor, between the visible and the invisible.

Xinú® does not merely create aromas, It builds a language.

A universe where scent is form, form is experience, and experience, a way of perceiving the world.

Welcome to Xinú ®.

Xínú ® Oaxaca.

The arrival of Xinú ® in Oaxaca de Juárez is a celebration of collaboration, respect,
and the understanding of a magical land full of flavor, emotion, expression, and mystery.

Embedded within the central courtyard of Criollo, amid smoke, aromas, vegetation, and the embrace of warm people; the space arises from a clear reading of the territory:  the basaltic prisms of San Antonio el Mogote as inspiration and system, not as literal form.

Its logic, repetition, verticality, horizontality, and variation, translates into a topography of volumes in soil and black cement, placed in such a way that evoke temple and an altar.

A zenithal opening cuts through the interior, activates the volumes,  and allows the presence of time to traverse the space  while it transforms the experience through a beam of natural light:  an active memory of nature and its encounter with human expression.

Light ceases to be ambient and becomes precise. Shadow is not the background, it is structure.

It defines depth, rhythm, and silence. The light, as it descends, constructs a void that refers to the
ancestral,  to a ritual reading and condition of the space.

The space is bathed in a continuous matte black, a reminder of Oaxacan clay and earth.
Each element functions as a fragment and as a whole: an interior landscape contained in extracted forms,
where the journey becomes a sequence of pauses and proximities.

Xinú ® thus anchors itself to a specific context, not through representation, but through interpretation:
a direct relationship between the natural, memory, and experience.

Welcome to Xinú ® Oaxaca.
