Housing cooperation A / B Tårnparken has renovated three apartment blocks in Roskilde (Denmark). During a complete facade renovation, the old peeling plaster was replaced by modern facade panels. The apartment blocks, which have also undergone energy optimization, have been equipped with robust Rockpanel Colours boards that ensure a long lifetime and low maintenance. In addition to the visual upgrade of the apartment blocks, the result is lower operating costs and better energy accounts.
PNP-BYG A / S was the responsible contractor for the project. Mikkel Mikkelsen: “The facades needed an upgrade, and therefore the old cladding has been removed and the existing facades were energy-optimized. The apartment blocks were insulated with Redair Multi from ROCKWOOL and subsequently the facade was clad with facade panels from Rockpanel.”
Used products:
Rockpanel Colours (RAL 9011, RAL 7016, RAL 7024)

The renovation comes with lower operating costs and better energy accounts. At the same time, the facade has been given a visual boost, which upgrades both apartment blocks and the neighbourhood.
Lightweight facade panels provide efficient installation
The facade boards in classic dark tones add a modern look to the facade. For a quarter of the boards, two lighter shades of grey have been chosen, and this gives an elegant play of colours. The facade panels have also been chosen because of the quick installation, as Christian Bodekær Thomsen, project manager at Rambøll, explains: “The choice fell on facade panels from Rockpanel due to the complete and well-thought-out installation system, which is also suitable for older buildings, where there may even be skews. The boards are very lightweight and can quickly be cut to size, which results in an easier and faster installation.”
The renovation was carried out while the residents stayed in their apartments. Thanks to the efficient installation, the work platforms were up for a limited period, keeping the inconvenience for the residents limited.
