Within the historic and newly renovated Östermalms Saluhall marketplace in Stockholm, the new restaurant Beirut Café includes specially manufactured metal mesh for its vibrant interior. Banker Wire M22-83 in braided solid brass enhances the look by being used in dividing screens, shelving and counters and in ceiling tiles and panels. The Banker Wire TXZ-3 is an antique copper-plated metal mesh designed like towers to enhance the atmosphere around the room. The metal mesh paired by the architects brings a clean yet warm feel to the interior design. This project was born from the will of the Cabildo, in collaboration with the Vilaflor de Chasna City Council, to improve a local infrastructure whose function is conditioned by the weather of the environment. The general intervention is configured by adapting the needs program to the particularities of the plot on which it sits. The ground laid has an orientation in a practically southeast-northwest longitudinal direction, open on all sides and with access from the southeast corner. The services access to the field is through the southeast corner, through a locksmith gate that is accessed from a transversal to the main road and that separates it from the School and the Church. The goal of this project was to transform an existing storage on the roof of a residential apartment to a livable place. Considering the fact that existing space was very limited, design team initial concept was to incorporate all the residential required spaces in such a small space. Unlike the typical process of dividing the space into various spaces, and each space for one specific activity, 45 sqm. home offers one single space which changes constantly based on different functions and activities. “A few drops” is an urban pavilion, focused on environmental issues. Our approach is a critical expression against the industrial pollutions produced by humankind. We called people on social networks, to bring their wasted CDs for us. Thereby the intention was to raise public awareness about the issue and also supplying the main materials of our project with no budget. The pavilion construction is all done by people corporation. The pavilion structure was built with scaffolds which is 4m X 4m X 4m. The CDs were woven in fishing threads and they were hung to the net on the roof. The CDs are the metaphorical expression of raindrops to incite the human senses. Mais
