Ansitz Gamp

On a prominent hillside at the edge of Chiusa, with an open view of the Säben mountain and its monastery, the grounds of Hotel Camping Ansitz Gamp were expanded through a carefully designed architectural project. To meet growing guest expectations, a new hospitality concept was created that offers the atmosphere of a “second home” – a place of comfort, freedom, and relaxation. Oliver Jaist Oliver Jaist The new ensemble consists of six compact, two-storey chalets set on stilts and integrated into the steep, wooded northwest slope. Terraced along the natural topography and accessed discreetly from the rear, they ensure a high degree of privacy and tranquillity. Built in sustainable prefabricated timber... More

Hotel Saltus

Catch your breath, feel deeply relaxed, enjoy nature, and experience grounding – these were the things on top of the list for the functional program of Hotel Saltus in San Genesio, near Bolzano. Every single design decision and choice of material was made with these fundamental principles in mind, which in the end lead to a harmonious and coherent project. The three parts of the building nestle into the steep slope at different heights. Precisely positioned cuts into the geometrically simple building volumes, which interact with the distinctive terrain, create unique exterior spaces.  Davide Perbellini Samuel Holzner All the different areas are planned to maximise their connection to nature. While in the rooms and in t... More

Voisthaler Hut

The new Voisthaler Hut is situated in the high valley of the Upper Dullwitz as a highly visible landmark. As a point of orientation between Hochschwab, Wetterkogel, Karlhochkogel and Fölzsattel, it replaces the existing hut and appears as a simple, clear volume in the high alpine terrain. The setting in the largely natural landscape is an interplay of site-specific characteristics (topography, weather sides, view), function and form - a combination of architecture and site. Due to the logistically challenging location, a prefabricated timber construction was chosen as a sensible building form.  David Schreyer David Schreyer David Schreyer David Schreyer The formal realisation of the new hut is derived both fro... Hotel Villa Melì

The renovation of this building was started by other designers but, in the variations underway, the final appearance of the building did not convince the client. Thus, once the works had begun, we took over the Works Management, completely changing the external appearance of the building, modifying: the external balconies and their parapets, simplifying the entrance to the structure and inserting an external veranda, defining the composition of the facades in a different way . Jacopo Salvi Jacopo Salvi Jacopo Salvi Jacopo Salvi The black steel with which the external balconies are made contrasts well with the evaporated natural larch wood cladding. The plaster which represents the largest surface of the facades had to g... More

Elva Hotel

Elva Hotel (The River Hotel) is a small hotel in Voss, Norway. Voss is renowned for its spectacular landscape and as a popular destination for outdoor and extreme sports enthusiasts. The client’s main goal was to establish unique accommodation, connected to their existing activities center, for active guests to experience and explore the local nature.  Sam Hughes The site is an old industrial area in a relatively urban setting. One of the main focuses of the project was to transform the area by repairing the landscape. This involved cleaning up industrial waste, removing foreign plant species, and reestablishing the wetland habitat along the lakefront. The benefit of such a site is that project improves and repairs the natu... More

Youna Nature Resorts

YOUNA Nature Resort – our latest hospitality concept – consists of flexible treehouses immersed in the European Alpine Region. Spectrum Referencing the idea of ‘a treehouse without a tree’, the design imitates both the archetype gable roof of a traditional tree house and the proportion of the tree it sits on. This results in a vertical pitched structure encompassing spaces that are elevated from the ground on a shrunken footprint – just like the trunk of a tree. Spectrum The treehouses are wrapped in a timber exoskeleton that reinforces the structure while creating a modular interior build-up and layout. This allows for exceptional customization, including number of floors, outdoor/indoor spaces, an... More

Homes in the Pastures (Le Case del Prato)

“I welcomed the idea of building the two Case del Prato using the timber felled by the storm. The wounds produced by storm Vaia are still visible when you look around Zirmerhof and you see the empty patches of woodland. We still find it hard to believe how violent the wind of Vaia was, and how it could fell and carry away so many trees. Yet the message that Vaia left us is quite clear. It is a message that comes from a tale of climate change and that shows us how nature is rebelling against our inconsiderate actions, against those anthropogenic changes that are far from natural.” (Michele De Lucchi, june 2020) Le Case del Prato (which translates as “Homes in the Pastures”) are two small wooden architectures which ad... Rosat Active Hotel Renovation

The project was born from a close collaboration with the agency of tourist development, Hotel, Klinik.
