Being located on a road of this nature faces particularities such as noise and visual pollution, which encouraged us to generate very specific architectural and structural solutions. The neighbourhood in which THE EPIC is located was originally characterised only by single-family homes. Today, the building is surrounded by an urban density of residential buildings. The scales of the existing houses and the new buildings collide. THE EPIC, although it provides 9 units of different sizes, contrasts with this problem in its villa-like appearance. With its articulated volumes and differentiated window openings, the building gives more the image of a family house rather than an apartment building. The refinement of the architecture is continued in the outer skin, from the detail of the window to the materiality of the brickwork. Completed in December 2019, Greyfort House is a residential development of 8 units on a prominent corner plot in South Croydon.The challenge was to create a design that would successfully respond to the various urban conditions around the site.The building acts as an interface between the different scales and patterns of development surrounding it, whilst addressing the busy corner junction in a coherent and composed manner. Its form evolved through a contextual analysis of the scale, proportions, building lines, materials and architectural details of the surrounding streetscapes and was sculpted by the arising opportunities. Though Project typology is affordable housing, our design focused to deliver Elite experiences in the project wherever possible. As a part of design ideas, we created projections and balconies in each dwelling to connect inside-out. The 13Chenar residential project referred to us when the construction process was suspended due to the client dissatisfaction. The building was designed by bubble deck system which liberates the interior from structural elements and moved them toward the edges of slabs.They just finished the fourth slab when they asked us to revise their project. We refused to design just a simple facade and proposed a serious set of changes both in architecture and facade. Located near the office towers of Faria Lima in Sao Paulo, this 16-storey building by Studio Arthur Casas has a wide variety of typologies, with 88 units between 25 and 100 square meters. The client wanted a building that would break with the paradigms of the city's real estate market, used to simplistic solutions of mere application of restrictive laws, when more in small units. The innovative plan, unprecedented exercise for Studio, was designed from a module of 1.25m x 1.25m, with the rationalization of vertical circulations and shafts.
