  Located in a converted textile factory in Stoke Newington, the original apartment faced privacy issues, as its main floor was 80cm below a busy street, and lack of space for entertaining. Our proposal rethinks the layout of the entire 2 storey apartment, with areas designed to improve flow, minimise clutter and enhance the spatial experience through materiality and natural light. The dining space becomes a focal point and shoji panels are installed on the street facing side of both floors, allowing diffused light and ensuring privacy. GRID Architects’ Verna is a new development containing 210 high-quality homes in west London, and forms a key element in Ealing Council’s Acton Gardens regeneration masterplan, delivered as a joint venture between Countryside Properties and L&Q. T&V Architects has designed the interior of an apartment in South Kensington, London, adopting eco-friendly strategies and natural materials. The three-bedroom flat is located at walking distance from the Gloucester Road Station, occupying the first floor of a terraced house. “The goal was to design a contemporary space where the client could feel comfortable and contemplate his sculptures and paintings”, said architect Paola Tuosto. “As a consequence, in the project we included finishes that remind of his trips to Italy and created proper spaces for the artworks.
