Apple allocates first $400 million of a $2.5 billion commitment towards tackling a lack of affordable housing in California
As part of a multi-year $2.5 billion commitment to help tackle a serious lack of affordable housing in the state of California, Apple has allocated its first $400 million towards affordable housing projects and homeowner assistance projects.

In partnership with the Housing Trust Silicon Valley, the funds will be designated towards the creation of 250 new units of affordable housing across the Bay Area. The geographically diverse projects will create more than 250 new units of affordable housing, many reserved for veterans, the homeless, or formerly homeless, and residents with developmental disabilities.

The design concept took shape as an interpretation of the minimalist perception characterizes Apple stores worldwide. The show room was designed with black and white colors, that do not overshadow the presented products, and the contrast between the colors creates both a dominant and a silent look – the black stands out with its intensity at the front of the store and in the flooring of the space, while the white shade dominates the central space of the hall.
