Sway
Inspired by the swaying grasses of Naoshima Island, Sway is a poetic lighting piece that gently responds to the air around it. Drawing from the layered aesthetics of traditional Japanese lanterns and the translucency of washi paper, Anne-Lise and Søren developed a new robotic weaving technique—merging craft and code to create the subtle overlapping of patterns in a new material language. The result is a lamp that not only emits a soft, diffuse glow, but also embodies lightness and motion—suspended on a slender pole, anchored in a sculptural stone base that references natural terrains like riverbeds and dunes. 301 Howard Street
Located at the heart of the emerging Transbay Terminal area, the building at the corner of Howard and Beale Streets suffered from an oddly configured corner entrance and under-utilized adjacent retail spaces. In order to remain competitive and attractive in the surrounding urban development, 301 Howard Street required a comprehensive renovation. The new vision for was clear: transform the indistinguishable building entry into a welcoming and provocative beacon that serves as a new public amenity for tenants and visitors.
