The Westminster Entrance reimagines an underutilized entrance as an accessible, welcoming public threshold. An ADA-compliant ramp replaces a previously congested and unintentionally landscaped walkway, integrating into a meandering path that frames the route with native plants and embedded seating. Design Description: 1. Project Overview Yantai City College of Science and Technology (YCCST) is located in Fushan district of Yantai in Shandong province of China. The project site is approximately trapezoidal, about 600 meters long from east to west and about 400 meters long from north to south. The Phase II site covering an area of 351 Mu (1 hectare = 15 Mu) and the Phase I area of 150 Mu together constitute the total campus area of 501 Mu of YCCST. Traditional Linpan settlements consist of a collection of buildings that form mismatched courtyards and in-between spaces, connected by greenery and bamboo trees. Our proposed hotel seeks to enhance this unique spatial condition by connecting the surrounding existing buildings into a single complex, integrating the surrounding landscape with the architecture through gardens and courtyards. Olen resort unfolds across a seaside, amphitheatrical plot, characterized by a steep southward slope and an uninterrupted view of the Aegean Sea. The primary challenge of the project was to satisfy complex functional requirements while respecting the morphology of the terrain. The Temple of Silence is a Total Spatial Work by Fausto Ferrara, built in Torrenieri, Tuscany, as a private non-denominational sacred pavilion.
