Homebase Factory

The architecture of most industrial factories is often rigid, monotonous, and designed solely for work, typically lacking in quality by overlooking the living conditions of the personnel. However, since employees spend a significant amount of time in the workspace, it is essential to consider factors that influence their sense of satisfaction and comfort. Studies have shown that the work environment impacts employee satisfaction, attachment to the workplace, performance, efficiency, and ultimately, the productivity of the factory. Therefore, by diagnosing the current conditions, the design goal is "to enhance the quality of the factory space for employees and contribute to increased factory productivity." House by the River

The building was designed on a very long and relatively narrow plot of land. The terrain gently slopes from the local road towards the riverbank. However, this picturesque location had its limitations. Due to the risk of flooding, the regulations only allow construction to take place along the road, raised above the so-called hundred-year flood level. The possibility of building underground floors was also excluded. Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski The investors' intention was to create a home for a multi-generational family—a house that would be full of light and provide residents with a sense of space. A home where each member could find a... More

Unexpected Reflections

In honor of Día de Muertos, “Unexpected Reflections” is an immersive installation that reinterprets Mexico’s beloved tradition of honoring the deceased from a contemporary perspective. Conceived by artist Miguel de la Torre, this piece explores the boundaries between the realms of the living and the dead, inviting visitors to cross a symbolic portal and participate actively in the ritual of remembrance for those who are no longer with us. Jaime Navarro At the heart of the installation is a mirrored wall, acting as a symbolic boundary between these two worlds. As visitors see their reflections in the mirror, they experience a profound connection to the space, with their own image becoming a metaphor for the ete... More

Bosque House

A solid white form that contrasts with its immediate surroundings. This is the principle behind the design of Casa Bosque, located on a narrow lot within a horizontal condominium of attached houses. This white canvas, being homogeneous, does not evoke the subjective mental image of a house and allows for an open perception of what is seen, offering a complete reading of the volume, without areas of concentration or elements that “pull” the eye. As artist Robert Ryman states, “white is merely a way to expose other elements, allowing other things to become visible.” By choosing this volume, the design begins with a unified concept where the design itself defines the flows and layouts contained within this rigid geometr... LIGHT HOUSE

The more than 1,000-square-metre plot on which we designed the "Light House," is located in a well-ordered enclave of single-family houses in the vicinity of Radomierzyce, near Wrocław. The magnificent mature tree stand gives the place a unique character, and the newly built houses shape the architectural quality of the estate, which has a modern character. The developer had a clear objective: to create a modern house that makes use of and blends in with the surrounding wooded landscape. JABRAARCHITECTS JABRAARCHITECTS JABRAARCHITECTS The design of the building is inscribed in the regularly square geometry of the plot. The body of the house is a two-storey layout, and the entrance has been placed centrally in the body of the... More

Casa Rosabaya

Casa Rosabaya has a unique architectural style, in which modern style and materials in their natural state predominate. The 12-room vacation villa was conceived to be rented and rescues solutions from popular and vernacular Dominican architecture such as openwork blocks, wide eaves and window protection elements using a modern and contemporary language that enhances the expressiveness of exposed concrete. , present in practically all architectural elements. Located on the seafront in Cosón Beach, the house integrates vegetation through patios, passageways and interstices that dilute the boundary between interior and exterior. The Miller

Flashback to 2011 when the Millers lived in a 570sf beach cottage on a narrow lot.  We created a budget-friendly expansion by stretching the simple form, and they happily lived there for nearly a decade. When the family grew, they found a property in the same coastal community, a stepping stone from the last. The transition was easy for the kids because the last home inspired the new design. Ian Patzke What once was a simple form on a narrow lot became side-by-side forms on a wider lot. The stairwell in between separates private and public spaces and acts as a lightwell and thermal chimney to let hot air escape through skylights. We focused on low-maintenance materials that could withstand proximity to the ocean. Ian Patzke... More

Casa Roverella

Casa Roverella is a villa created to embrace nature. The house is located in Puglia, halfway between Ostuni and Cisternino, in the Valle d'Itria, an area that inspired the entire project. The main intention was immediately to seek a dialogue with the natural elements present on the ground. A large oak tree gave the initial inspiration that led to the entire house being structured around it, making it the true protagonist of the project. Alex Reyto Alex Reyto Alex Reyto Every corner is designed to experience the spaces in continuity between inside and outside. The infinity pool makes you lose sight of the boundary between water and land, the outdoor spaces are livable in several places, allowing the house to continue to be w... More

Camden Project

Once a disused warehouse-come-art studio for a notable sculptor, McLaren.Excell worked with the client to remodel and increase the volume of the building and its usage potential, with a ground floor that is the truest definition of a ‘living room’, a fully adaptable 2200 sq ft space that changes guise depending on requirement. Rory Gardiner Largely retaining its original facade but with a strikingly juxtaposing new metal extension, the four bedroom, four bathroom home is spread across two floors with a large garden to the rear. Increasing the size of the property by over 500 square feet from (approx’) 5,900 sq ft to 6,540 sq ft, with a typically and identifiably McLaren.Excell in design rear facing extension, the gro... SFDA.lab

The SFDA.lab addresses the needs of a school group by designing a cafeteria space that allows students to dine informally outside of the school restaurant's regular hours. The project is envisioned as a versatile space that not only serves as a cafeteria but also introduces new functionalities to the school group. Adrien Fouéré   The project is located at the junction of a 1970s building and a monolithic extension housing the high school. Besides the expressed requirement for a new cafeteria, it appears that certain existing spaces, such as the auditorium or the entrance hall, have reached their maximum capacity or could be enriched with complementary uses. Rather than implementing multiple separate interventions,... More

Henry's Restaurant

Henry’s Restaurant is situated on the newly refurbished Makariou Avenue, a bustling pedestrian-friendly street in the heart of Nicosia. To facilitate the new restaurant, an existing commercial building from the 1970s was substantially renovated; two commercial spaces were merged and mezzanine levels were partially demolished to create a spacious double-height hall filled with light.  Creative Photo Room Henry's is inspired by the European bistro typology. It is an all-day restaurant that serves immaculately styled gourmet food, with an open kitchen that allows chefs and cooks to interact directly with the visitors, creating a dynamic dining experience.  Creative Photo Room The design of Henry's restaurant blends... Apartment renovation in Neo Iraklio

The 145sq.m. apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a 4-storey residential building in Neo Iraklio, built in 1986. Michail Damaskos Michail Damaskos The objective of the renovation was to redesign the apartment in order to create new functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that would serve the needs of a young family. Michail Damaskos Michail Damaskos At floor plan level, the interventions are focused on the kitchen and the master bedroom. The wish of the owners to extend their bedroom space by adding an office space and a walk-in closet led to the design of a wooden sliding partition that separates these spaces from the bedroom. The movable element ensures both communication and partial isolation of the spaces.... More
