A School villa in KralingenThe Kralingsche School was designed in 1915 in a row of stately villas on the Rozenburg park. One hundred years later, it is still a coveted school for neighbourhood kids. But the school is outdated and asks a thorough renovation with more place for self-education.In the summer holidays of 2015 and 2016, both the outside and inside are renovated and the building got the necessary attention to rays.The building received air, light, and space by the new right-wing and remodeling the former gym to a playground. DELA cooperative, in partnership with Povse &Timmermans Architects & Engineers and J.A. van Gisbergen Construction Company, has realised a new crematory with funeral facilities on the Wetering-Zuid business park in Utrecht. Given that the adjacent neighbourhoods, Leidsche Rijn and Vleuten, have been developing steadily, this also lead to an increase in the demand for new facilities. In addition to shops, sports facilities and health care centres, there was also a need for funeral services. DELA took up the challenge and submitted a plan to the city of Utrecht. With Limited capacities, a new private entrepreneurial higher professional school is realised in the forma industrial district of Amsterdam Noord. Opened in 2017 and doubled in students in 2018. Both designs, the first floor in the first year and ground floor after the expansion are done by OFMAA. The rough materialisation breathes the industrial history of thebuilding and surrounding and represents the entrepreneurship of de industrialarea. Newly built school building Campus kantienberg for ArteveldehogeschoolThe low-rise building has been modelled to visually separate it from the slope, creating a new space. This is the building’s lung, which draws its air from the embankment area and the patio. The tower has ‘living façades’, which will function as beacons of light both during the day and at night. As a result, Ghent acquires a discrete, yet unique tower. PPZ Within the masterplan for the hospital site, by Osar Architects, six buildings are renovated by Osar while Tom Cortoos Architecten realized the new TLC building. The Technical & Logistics Center brings together all shared functions previously scattered all over the site. The building structures, with its large scale and position, part of the campus and forms a transition from the well-ordered old part to the loosely planned new part of the hospital site.
