In the open polder landscape of dikes and small islands near Rotterdam, the Terphouse is situated as a solid volume on a mound in the landscape. The means used to make the house sustainable and ready for more extreme climate conditions became the main elements of the design, most apparent in the characteristic canopy and underground level with the protruding patios. Caption The house is dug in the artificial mound on the island, situating the living spaces on the first level and the bedrooms and secondary rooms underground. M16 house is located among other houses in a gated community in the city of Carpina. In order to meet the needs of customers, the project provides a weekend home to welcome, gather and be a reason for family gatherings. As an immediate response to the corner lot of 30m x 15m, the two floors of regulatory layout follow a pragmatic division in the layout of the rooms with a continuous design. The award-winning redevelopment of St Pancras International has transformed it in to an iconic gateway to Europe.   The selection of the Grade 1 listed St Pancras railway station as the new terminus for Eurostar required a highly complex programme of expansion, modernisation and restoration.   To accommodate the sleek new trains, the station was doubled in length; the concourses being extended well beyond the intricate structure of the listed Barlow Shed roof.
