Two existing houses on the same lot, sharing a common access and different qualities. 

The Project:

The initial assignment of the customer on the housing bottom, was to make a bedroom as an extension on the front of the same house.

Studying the location conditions and taking into account the direction of the private, make a bedroom ahead left a yard unused, character and interior diagram exists not allow a dining space, it looked interrupted by the same movement of cross access to the bedroom.

It was proposed to the customer to think more, giving a proposed relocation of all parties, including all the limits and constraints that had the ground. It was thought from scratch, having three medians blind one free face and an existing building to the front.

He introduced the idea of creating a central void and an organice space, allowing a ventilated faces, making this an intimate and introverted space where everything develops inside multiply. 

So it is born the "Court Heart". A traversable space, made with two sliding panels and facing in opposite directions, providing spatial and perceptual ambiguities by the passage of time. Open - closed, indoor-outdoor, hot and cold, light-shadow, trasparencies - reflections. This way arise different paths in a house of 65m2 surface cover.

All these qualities mentioned have increased the value of the property and also the wearer, allowing who lives at all times and enjoy every moment. 

As architects, we have to think that every project that comes to us and we offer that plus that customers will never ask, but is there latent. Only us can give it.
