An organic bakery crafted for the father and son duo by Bancaù Architectes, L’Artisan des Pains Oubliés is a reflection of the owners’ and designers’ ethos of organic authenticity, whether it is in food or architecture.

Tables basses / gigognes PI1950 - Fred Hernandez
PI1950 is the interpretation of a symbolism of Scandinavian design of the 1950s.
Marked by the revolutions of style and forms in furniture design and decoration, this period is also the moment when new industrial techniques are initiated (functionality of steel, aluminum, molding techniques, Formica ...) . The furniture has taut lines, the feet are refined, finally the acid colors, the graphic patterns enter in force in the interior universes. With PI1950, we interpret this period with relish; it is about making the colors and functionalities of tables full of colors and lives "exist".

Celosia
Mutina and Patricia Urquiola wanted to reprise the traditional artisanal production process typical of terracotta. Elements which come out from earth, imperfect and solid, marked by the hand of man and by time passing. Roof tiles, bricks, hollow bricks and partition walls are undone, unstructured and reinterpreted in a new way, keeping a traditional touch.
The wish to exit from two-dimensional spaces typical of standard wall covering, is translated into the experimentation of three-dimensional bricks, which gives shape to new design elements, whose high aesthetic-functional content enables limitless solutions for indoor and outdoor spaces.

THE POETRY OF INDUSTRIAL MATTER
Silence and poetry were the guidelines for the design of this small craft building, built in the region of the Reggio Emilia hills Apennines. Design silence is not lacking in a creative sound, but my communes are the most common, the most common from a simple logic of economy and their poetry is added to a design attitude of listening rather than of preveration. One discovers the soul of matter to redeem it from a condition of banality that becomes the intent of the project. Silver Lining Chandelier
A sculptural lighting fixture showcases handblown glass elements suspended on nine individual stainless steel cable strands. Nine illuminated glass diffusers are interspersed with non-illuminated orbs. Glass pieces are customizable as to quantity, size, shape, pattern and color: three shapes, five patterns, sixteen solid colors, three colorways. Metal canopy is available as square, circle or rectangle, in choice of six finishes.
Inspiration: The sculpture is an abstraction of gathering clouds before a storm, inspired by 19th century seascapes by Constable and Turner. In the iteration shown, she conjures gradating sky colors from deep teal, sunset, and grey to seafoam and mist. More

Mounted on stakes radiating from a central orb, the dimensional roundels dramatically diffuse light, sending it outward like a lighthouse beam, and casting evocative, textured shadows. The fixtures are illuminated by candelabra sockets. Roundel sizes, pattern and color are offered in a profusion of options:
Pattern:Choice of three textural patterns, created during the blowing process. “Wrap”: concentric waves, based on Fresnel lenses used for lighthouses. “Twist”: a nautilus/hurricane motif. “Primavera”: a bubbled surface.
