Gallery G99

Set within a former antique store in Vienna’s 18th district, Gallery G99 transforms a sequence of historic spaces into a hybrid art photography gallery and working atelier. The spatial arrangement—stretching from street-front to a vaulted cellar via an inner courtyard—mirrors Vienna’s layered courtyard urbanism, embedded in a neighborhood where wine cellars and workshops have evolved into a constellation of studios and galleries. Julien Lanoo   The project is a careful act of adaptive reuse. Original materials were preserved, repurposed, and reinterpreted: chipboards from the old floor became custom furniture; historic wall paintings were uncovered and left visible behind a refurbished 1970s storefront. ANK_Ausstellungsraum

A gallery for Bildrecht on the grounds of the Anker bread factory, available for artists in residence. It combines exhibition, living, and meeting spaces. The museum-like interior extends outward, with the exhibition space continuing onto the terrace and creating a tangible connection between inside and outside. Franz Ebner The design concept for the gallery integrates an expanded outdoor area in the courtyard of the historic Anker bread factory. This approach not only respects the industrial heritage of the building, but also enhances the visitor experience by creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor areas. CrispiUp

This time, my barber dared to push beyond the boundaries of tradition, betting everything on a revolutionary idea: a hair atelier designed to welcome both men and women in a shared space where professionalism and ambiance merge in perfect harmony. The beating heart of this project comes to life on the second floor of a historic building in the center of Bergamo, where the charm of bygone eras intertwines with a bold and refined contemporary vision. Andrea Ceriani The environment unfolds as a dialogue between contrasts: the warmth of natural wood surfaces and soft fabrics meets the geometric purity of brushed metal and the sophisticated transparency of glass, creating a setting that celebrates the coexistence of tradition and innovatio... Sunrich Atelier & Office

This is a plan for an office and workshop in a quiet residential area.We aimed to create a space that would serve as an intermediary for a variety of activities for the community and the company. First, the existing shutters were considered as a device to dynamically manipulate open and closed situations, and a flexible façade was planned for the street. Tomoyuki Kusunose Tomoyuki Kusunose Tomoyuki Kusunose Tomoyuki Kusunose In terms of zoning, the minimum space required by the client was divided into an office space and the rest was divided into a work space, leaving a lot of blank space on the work space side to accommodate various activities. Gastenverblijf Rijksmonument Bunde

This guesthouse is the former studio of Daan Wildschut (1913-1995), an artist specialized in stained glass. The open character of the studio has been preserved with contemporary interventions. Light and color form the basis for the design - just like in Wildschut's work. It is therefore a nod to the previous user. Blickfanger The green stairwell is the striking center of the room. The stairs provide access to the upper floor and also serve as storage space. The use of wooden elements ensures that the large space feels warm and comfortable. The use of ecological raw materials in the plasterwork, sheet material and painting contributes to a comfortable indoor climate and a good atmosphere in the room. Blickfanger Blickfanger More

Our Atelier Rooydaad

1. It was a serene and tranquil building. Number 5. Three floors, three separate units, and four residents altogether! The first floor’s unit with an area of 110 m², empty and lonely for a year and a half, was thinking of the woman who had built the building forty years ago and was no longer alive. The tranquility of the building and its environment was totally the opposite of our office. Arash Ashornia 2. We are an architect couple. We have been designing and supervising construction projects for more than a decade. A full-time and intense job. More than 12 hours a day. In an office so much like all other office spaces of the city, which are at their best, exhibitions of materials, decorations, new volumes, or overloaded w... More

The choice of clay bricks is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the region, connecting the renovated space with the local history and architecture. This choice not only restores the visual identity of the historic center but also provides an environment that inspires creativity and well-being. Manuel Sá The duality of the space, serving as both an art studio and a residence, is enriched by the unique atmosphere created by the clay bricks. The project is a workshop for a photographer. It includes a storage area, a place for indoor and outdoor photography.  Caption Caption Caption Located in a craft area of the city of Aubervilliers, the building occupies almost the entire plot and the available height that regulations can offer.  The building is a black box that is open with five large windows that take in as much natural light as possible.  Caption Caption Caption These large windows create a link between the interior and the exterior. The materiality is that of a steel hangar, in order to use local materials and optimize the structure by making it thinner to give even more light. From the ground to the roof, all the spaces are... ATELIER MARIA

Berd Studio presents Atelier, a creative and innovative project that sought to contrast the original architecture of the house with the new proposal. Joaquin Portela Joaquin Portela A space of inspiration and art, Atelier was born as a creative solution to a disused space in the house. Incorporating a modern style, an extension was created where the atelier and a music room are located. Using a dry wood construction system, with natural wood finishes and a Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban (burnt wood), it was possible to generate a contrast between the original house and its extension. Joaquin Portela Joaquin Portela Together with the client, the decision was made to use materials and warm color palettes, as wel... More

Atelier AA

Located in Funchal, in a residential area, the AA.Arquitectos atelier has been operating since 2019 in the attic of a duplex apartment. The intervention arises from the possibility of making the space independent of the apartment and from the need to reorganize the different functions of the space. AA. Arquitectos The opening of an access to the common circulation of the building and the introduction of a curtain that hides the duplex's vertical communication made it possible to deprive the studio of the apartment. AA. Arquitectos In the space consisting of the work space, the archive, the dining space, a toilet and a meeting room, there are two skylights. Longitudinally, on the side where the ceiling is lower, shelves were plac... More
