Competition 2023, 1st place. In planning. A pair of bridges as a building block for sustainable mobility development—across Innsbruck and the surrounding area by tram. The concept focuses on the construction of two new bridges as elements of Innsbruck's urban development, to realize a continuous tram network from Rum to Völs, spanning a federal highway roundabout and two banks of the Inn River. The new railway station was completed in 2023, and the railway line that previously divided the town now runs on a new alignment between Ebreichsdorf and the district of Unterwaltersdorf on an elevated route. In the context of the municipality's spatial and development planning, this location was chosen because the two communities are expected to gradually merge over the coming years, and future development opportunities and prospects regarding the connection of the urban areas and the integration of the new railway station were to be comprehensively considered from the outset. The expansion of the Franz-Martin-Straße kindergarten combines the existing structure with a new addition featuring timber construction and modern, child-friendly architecture. A light-filled, L-shaped building, spacious open areas, sunny terraces, and varied garden spaces create a high-quality environment for play, learning, and community. Wood, glass, and greenery define the warm, inviting atmosphere. The Goals: To complete the development of the Am Garnmarkt neighborhood, a new mixed-use building combining retail, office, and residential space was to be constructed. The Implementation: This striking building provides an attractive focal point for the neighborhood. It serves as a transition from the dense development in the center to the more open residential area to the north. The building has five stories on the south side and three stories on the north side. The  NVZ itzling, located in the northern part of Salzburg, serves as a prominent urban gateway and establishes a significant architectural statement within the urban context. With its expressive form language and strategic rotation of the building structure along the street alignments, the building harmoniously integrates into the existing cityscape while simultaneously setting a striking urban accent. The Stadthaus is located in the central street Lederergasse - a livable, quiet street that connects Linz's main square, via the tobacco factory, with the port. The existing building – its basic substance from the 16th century – has been renovated and expanded. Over a process lasting several years, first the premises on the ground floor were converted into the company's own architect's office, then the apartments on the 1st and 2nd floor were cleared out and renovated down to their constructive structures. In the course of the planning process, fundamental wishes for the living space were concretized, which can hardly be formulated in the case of dense development such as a usual row house. A solution could be found for this problem, however, each residential unit is organized like a classic single-family house in order to generate a feeling of independence. The "Medienhaus Kapitelsaal" is in the historic center of Salzburg, directly under the Fortress in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The starting point for the intervention was an event hall that no longer corresponded to the state of the art and had to be adapted into a multifunctional media house. The building site, located on a slope in Salzburg City, is accessed via a small road. The hillside location offers the possibility of designing a structure that allows the hillside to be experienced in its various altitudes, creates a connection to the outside space and enables distant views.
