Just a couple of minutes from Spain square, this modern apartment is located in the Poble Sec neighbor which is probably one of the areas that still maintain its traditional identity within the cosmopolite city of Barcelona.   The design was intent to be as simple as possible and compress the services in the central part of the apartment to free up space. One of the main requirements from the client was to provide a sense of spaciousness in a pretty standard apartment size. Because of that we decided to packed up the wet areas in one “block” and the storage area in a lineal volume; in this way we play with the geometry to achieve the client request and at the same time maintain all the program required. Located at the heart of the Eixample in Barcelona, Conservatorium is an oasis of tranquillity in the middle of the blasting rush of the metropolis. The apartment’s iconicity is represented by its incredible construction features and by its location in the so-called modernist fincas regias. The renovation project aims to reinterpret in a contemporary way the history of the building dating back to the 1902, creating contrasts between tradition and modernity. Many of the original structural elements have been preserved, such as the roof's hydraulic vaulted ceilings and its original decorative elements. The global design firm Arquiluz signed the lighting design, lighting control system and audiovisuals for the new Sanofi headquarters in Panama, designed by Mallol Arquitectos.   The headquarters of Sanofi in Latin America is a unique space, both for the conception of its program and its final aspect. It is an office that is based on avant-garde design criteria and that seeks the well-being and involvement of the collaborator.   The offices are divided into two floors. Apartment Refurbishment in la Ribera, BarcelonaThe project involves the full renovation of a dwelling in Barcelona’s La Ribera district. Located inside a 100-year-old building, the apartment had never undergone any substantial modification. It had been kept in quite good condition having preserved still intact the original mosaic floors and decorative ceiling mouldings. The history and charm of this 100 years old apartment attracted the owners that wished to renovate it without losing the atmosphere of the existing elements. The Barcelona International Convention Centre consists of a large hall (15.000 m2, 80m of structural lighting) that can be divided and a block for associated services that looks out to sea. The hall is both structure and abstraction; the exterior block talks to the sea and the sky. The structure is a musical score of reference. The climate, the light (and opposite, shade) and sound (and its opposite, silence) have shaped the plot.
