Prickett Richard

Tucked beneath a celebrated barbecue restaurant lies Prickett Richard: anintimately tailored speakeasy waiting to be discovered through anunassuming steel door in the alleyway. Requested by the clients, PrickettRichard exudes a far more intimate, elevated, and exclusive ethos from thebustling restaurant upstairs. As guests enter the back-door and passthrough the kitchen, getting a quick glance at the lively food hall before theydescend the dimly lit staircase, transitioning from the vibrant energy of therestaurant to an intimate, sophisticated sanctuary. Vraperija Cafe

The cafe is focused on the street food format.    I decided to focus on a non-standard combination of shades - a deep dark blue-green background and bright red-orange colors. This decision manifests itself both in the shades of the color of the walls, and in the pieces of furniture and art.   Thanks to this, we managed to reflect the specifics of the cafe - dynamics, individuality, hospitality. In my work, I often look for non-trivial color combinations to convey the main idea.    The main idea of this project is to make a bright, memorable place where visitors would feel comfortable and pleasant. The kind of space that makes you want to come back again.   The inspiration for the creation of this place was the... More

Bobs laundry Bar

It all began when Bob’s posse approached us with a “threat… or opportunity?” type of challenge – a bar that you enter through a laundry. Needless to say, we were IN.Bob’s Laundry is where you and your dirty socks come to refresh and renew. Our design direction was to create something odd, peculiar and comfy cool. Bob’s colorful tiled surfaces continue into the bar. Bold lounge sofas curve along the walls and ensure there’s a spot for everyone. From Bob’s bright orange to muted mustards and burgundies, the color scheme hits all the funky notes. Overall experience? So fresh, so clean. La Cubanita

La Cubanita is an extension of La Bodeguita Del Medio, a mainstay of Kortrijk’s nightlife scene. We worked with the owners to craft a space that embodied their multicultural heritage, creating an immersive guest experience that blends Cuban and Eastern motifs. Frans Parthesius The design is conceived as a box inside a box that turns a leftover space into a new part of the palimpsest, completely isolated—physically, aesthetically and acoustically—from its surroundings. A circular opening cut directly out of the ceiling slab redefines the irregular pentagonal plan, creating a center of gravity that shapes a coherent spatial experience. The cutout lends a defining sculptural presence to the space and offers glimpses ups... More

Sake Dojo, Suzhou

The traditional retail store of miyama is expanded to Shin Kong Place in Suzhou. The owner wants to design a high-quality space for presentation and sake tasting at the new store. Four freezers need to be placed and the public exhibition zone above 2.4 meters cannot be changed which is required by property management, so the main design goal is to utilize the three walls in the 30 square meter space so as to make exhibition express its theme by itself. Xu Yingda Sake is incredible liquid made from rice and water. It is Japanese typical alcoholic drink with local characteristics. We find a balance between sake bottles and flat eaves of verandas in Japanese architecture when exploring how to arrange sake in the space based on sake itsel... More

AYO ROOM

AYO ROOM is located in the corner of Hangzhou IN77 commercial complex. It is a "home" built by a group of people who love hip-hop culture and who know the preferences of contemporary people best."The Flower" is their spiritual symbol,it’s lovely and full of vigor. They have always been in the ranks of youth culture and become an appealing youth brand that influences the new generation. The AYO ROOM stands quietly by the West Lake during the day, and we want to use the glass room shape of the original building to create a psychedelic greenhouse. Caption When entering the room, the first is the lounge, equipped with freely transformable petal-shaped tables and chairs, giving more possibilities to the space. The frosted glass bric... More

Canopée restaurant

Hidden behind a large green carriage entrance, just a short walk away from Nantes' former courthouse, is "Canopée". ©Marie jonchere Canopée is a spacious restaurant that we have imagined specifically for epicurean experiences : a bar to help you escape, a lounge to kick back in, circle booths to meet up in, or better yet a terrace for getting some fresh air. Canopée is first and foremost about light and lush greenery with a vast hanging glass ceiling over the former courtyard of 19th century hotel. It is an elegant, refined, authentic place. ©CHPaysan The layout draws from the customs of beautiful French restaurants. The lines of the circle booths with their delicate velvet contrast with the struct... More

Karun Thai tea bars

Karun Thai tea bars are unique drinking experience that is both sophisticated and casual. More than grab and go, these bars offer the new experience of the common Thai tea drinker. A warm wood finish and natural textures contrast the updated, modern lighting, with brass textures creating a blended concept consisting of classic architectural details and contemporary design elements. Shu Bar

Shu Bar is part of Shu Guo Yin Xiang Restaurant, located in Plaza Indonesia, a high-end mall in the center of Jakarta. More than just being known for its tasty culinary, the restaurant is famous for its stunning interior design. The concept of Shu Guo Yin Xiang Restaurant itself is inspired by the Forbidden City, a palace complex that was established in the Qing Dynasty. Meanwhile, Shu Bar is towards the concept of a Speakeasy Bar. This way, the design might be a little bit different from the restaurant but still implementing the same concept. For the space, the design is made to be more modern but luxurious and intimate at the same time. It clearly shows out a simpler and more minimalist version of Chinese style patterns.    T... More

VIP Area - London Coffee Festival

The House of Coffee & Co – The London Coffee Festival’s VIP Hospitality Suite designed by Liqui was developed to create an inviting atmosphere with its details and beautifully designed furnishings allowing visitors to experience fine single origin coffees, teas and cocktails. It’s a simple and elegant environment that takes inspiration from Scandinavian styles implementing light woods with white and black detailing to create an airy, clean and relaxed space. The VIP area features a purposefully long and elegant bar with a deep black front and a regal gold top. This, when combined with the informal and relaxed style seating, creates a juxtaposition between the decadent and the utilitarian. More

Beyond The Bean

Liqui’s exhibition stand designers created the Beyond The Bean trade stand to be adaptable; suitable for various shows whilst being able to break down into manageable crates for shipping around Europe. It also had to be simple and light enough for assembly by the Beyond The Bean team on location – making the stand more cost-effective for each show. Liqui wanted a natural feel to represent and complement Beyond The Bean’s brand, they used a high-grade Birch Ply with a clear coat lacquer finish. The backlit logos and counter added presence to the stand making it stand out from the rest. The counter unit was designed to fulfill the need for a functional area to prepare the client’s produce whilst at the same time mainta... Pinwheel

For those who frequent this eclectic Chicago bar/restaurant, most will agree that, in addition to great food, drink and conversation, its true magic and charm lies in its ever-changing quirky persona.  Over time, various updates have been made to improve the space while other things have fallen into increasingly-poor shape due to the day-to-day business of keeping the neighborhood happy on their bar stools. The space, it seemed, needed a jump-start to reinvigorate the spirit on which it had always prided itself. As a result, the need for yet another change became evident, one which would rejuvenate the space while remaining open to evolution and change, one which would define the bar’s character clearly without fixing it... Architect: Ashari ArchitectsDesigner: Amir Hossein AshariDesign contributors: Zahra Jafari,Amir Irandoost HaghighiExecution: Saeid JamaliTriangle CaféCafés have significant power in strengthening the social dimension of urban spaces and urban Cafés are more dynamic than other types of spaces. The connectivity of the café to the unique historical urban environment and creating an attraction to this place were the challenges for the designers.
