Chalet Chamonix

Surrounded by the incredible mountains of the French Alps, in the town of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, the Alpen Chalet became the first large foreign project of our studio. The interior design of the chalet took us more than six months to develop. And during this time the project had several changes. Inspired by the materials, colors and elements of the Alps nature, we have combined the traditional techniques, used in the construction of alpine houses for many centuries, with the new technologies. This allowed to create a traditional, but at the same time modern, unique and timeless style. This apartment is located in the Gorod – Peredelkino Blizhnee Park Apartment Complex. The owners – a young married couple with a child – went for minimalistic interior design. When deciding on the concept for the interior design, we had to bear in mind the low 2.7-meter ceiling. So, from the moment you enter the apartment you start seeing vertical lines that continue throughout the entire apartment and into bedrooms. It did not help the building is a precast reinforced concrete one; virtually every wall is a load-bearing one; we were able to remove only one partition between the corridor and bedsit. It was replaced with vertical modules full of storage spaces. We also added a walk-in closet by putting up extra walls in the... More

Relaxing neutral bedroom

A lot of interiors these days claim to be "inspired by nature". We want soft, earthy color palettes, cuddly fabrics and trendy plants. The problem is, a lot of such interiors turn out a) bland, b) boring, c) sparse and cold or d) completely impractical - focused on trends and disregarding the user.   That is why this bedroom design was from the get go human-centered - meant to be lived in and not only looked at. The natural hues were chosen not just for their beauty but also to enhance the amount of light streaming in through the large windows and to be - yes, we think about these things - easy to clean.    Subtle but warm and cozy - peaceful with simple points of interest, but most of all - livable, that is the essence o... Refurbishment of an attic

The attic in the multi-family house in the Old Grunwald district was adapted into the modern and functional flat and work studio. The initial attic space was characterized by various heights of the rooms (some of them very low) and with preserved beautiful wooden ceiling and floor. The places with low ceiling were converted into a bedroom area, these with high came into existence as a kitchen, a dining room and a workspace. All rooms are multifunctional and every room enables view through the whole attic. The way the rooms were arranged, that is the lack of a corridor and an openly situated kitchen allows to compose the functionality of the studio accordingly to the daily needs of its user. Characteristic bricks on the floor define the slee... More
