Lagunen II Shopping Center
Lagunen II, Bergen
Located in Bergen, one of Europe’s rainiest cities, Lagunen II is a climate-adaptive expansion of Norway’s largest shopping centre. Designed by BIOSIS, the project reinterprets the conventional mall typology as an open, light-filled urban structure that responds directly to the city’s coastal climate and neighbourhood context.
The extension is conceived as a “good neighbour” to the surrounding residential area, emphasising openness, permeability, and everyday use rather than inward-facing retail. Sjøbodene in Sandviken

Mindemyren Masterplan
Mindemyren is a masterplan to suggest a future transformation of an area in central Bergen. The propoal focuses on the requirement of the plan to turn constraint into opportunity. It addresses challenges of noise, sun, pollution, low position in the valley, desire of maintaining large commercial facilities, to propose a holistic masterplan offering added-value and a new residential offer within the entire Minde masterplan.
Whereas the current proposal is creating linear corridor where circulation infrastructure tends to disconnect the building locally, we decide to work toward a smaller urban grain with a higher degree of connection, scales and variety of open spaces.

Centrumplan Plein Bergen
Baksteen, penthouses, bandvensters en terrassen
In 2006 namen wij deel aan de zogeheten Texaco-prijsvraag, nostalgisch genoemd naar het witte pompstation op het Plein, midden in Bergen (N-H). Op die Texaco-plek was een woningbouwproject gedacht, als onderdeel van de grote gemeentelijke herstructurering van het Bergense centrum. Het Plein zou daarin een dynamische plek worden als onderdeel van een winkelroute en in combinatie met woningbouw. Ons bureau won de prijsvraag met een L-vormig blok met winkels in de plint en appartementen in Bergense stijl, direct aan het Plein.
