Those prepared to consider each assignment anew - from programme and use to culture and ambience - will invariably find solutions that merge tradition with innovation. In our work, this results in stylistic diversity and attention to a rich diversity of detail and materials.
This is the case consistently - not just when the job involves traditional building techniques, but also when it explores very new ones. In this way we seek to create buildings that will withstand the test of time - buildings that express their own identity not through the choice of a particular style, but through a timelessness of functional and aesthetic planning that is individual to each new design. To us it is therefore self-evident that this can be achieved only in close consultation with our customers.
The practice operates nation-wide. Its particular strengths lie in designs for complex urban-renewal projects, in designing buildings to exceptional briefs requiring both a unique character and unique architectural characteristics, and in restoring architecturally significant buildings of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, adapting them for new uses.
Our services cover architectural activities as described in the New Regulations (DNR 2005) of the Union of Dutch architects, the emphasis being on architectural design and on architectural detailing and specification. For calculation, engineering, drawing up specifications and supervising construction, we use services from third parties.
