This apartment was designed for a young couple with a child. The main task was to combine comfort and style. In this project we used materials such as metal, cement and wood. In addition to the graffiti color, it was used as an accent, which added dynamics to the interior. All together makes the interior special and with its own character - soft, light, but at the same time strict.Deep Ocean is about this design. Located in the south of the city of Morelia, immersed in a residential area, located a few steps from one of the principal avenues that connect the city, called Camelinas, this residence takes place in this avenue, in which the kitchen area was specifically intervened. The presented project is a result of a close collaboration between our studio and the clients. It was their input, the open-minded approach to new ideas and the ability to think about a non-ordinary lifestyle that made this project possible. The apartment is situated at the first floor of a historical house in the center of Koper. The house was once a home of a noble family, but after WW II was divided in smaller apartments, as many others. It is a house built on the hillside on the south side of the Yamato River. The house consists of a base with bedroom and closet, a main floor with living room and sanitary, and a large gable roof. The three functions of the gable roof are to ensure a smooth approach from the parking lot to the entrance, to focus on the view from the living room, and to take in light and wind from the triangular slit on the side. The main idea of ​​this renovation was to personalize the apartment dating from the 70s, in a masculine and minimalist direction. Thus, the monochrome aesthetic given to the ensemble plays on the black and gray valchromat, concrete and slate, allied with warm touches of oak. The project was develop starting to analyze the natural light and the views from the difference windows. From this starting point I decide to shift the living room with kitchen in front of the big windows with the balcony. To reach this open space from the entrance I create a diagonal walk straight from the entrance door and the living room. There were no possibilities to create the second bathroom in the opposite site of the apartment so I decide to creste the second one just close to the first one but with a large shared shower between them.
