In 2014–2015, Svetozar Andreev’s architectural studio (Hotei-Russia) developed the design for THE COMPLETE Wellness Spa Hotel, a major spa resort in Maricá — a new, rapidly growing attraction point in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The new headquarters of STOCKTOTAL, the Brazilian partner of MOTOROLA Solutions, belongs to the peculiar category of interventions, frequent increasingly in Brazil, of the so-called "retrofit do novo". The literal translation is almost impossible but, in fact, it is the construction of a new building based on an architectural project that "corrects" the one used to obtain building permits. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Mixed use structure Brazil is going through a crucial moment in the international scenario. Both the World Cup 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016 requires several changes throughout the country but particularly in Rio de Janeiro. Aiming at the requirements of these events, the project presented is originated from the mixed use: a convention center, a hotel, a business center, shops and apartments.
