The Westminster Entrance reimagines an underutilized entrance as an accessible, welcoming public threshold. An ADA-compliant ramp replaces a previously congested and unintentionally landscaped walkway, integrating into a meandering path that frames the route with native plants and embedded seating. The ramp becomes more than circulation: it situates the welcome architecture and creates a thoughtful landscape for pause, facilitating gathering and everyday interaction. Brooklyn café Baba Cool’s second location required a fluid program to accommodate transitions between coffee in the morning, and bar and restaurant in the evening. The plan is structured as a sequence of spaces that increase in intimacy from front to back. A lounge at the entry leads to bar seating and a central dining nook, with a more enclosed formal dining area in the rear. Seating designs orient around necessary upgrades to ADA accessibility standards throughout. Materially, custom millwork reinforces a sense of continuity, from new exterior windows and doors to the substantial curved banquettes shaping the seating areas. Bedford Stuyvesant Townhouse is the result of a synergistic collaboration with an artist family, integrating their creative direction into our thoughtful renovation of their traditional Brooklyn brownstone. Alan Tansey We centered our client’s artistic visions to realize a functional, yet expressive interior for their work and life.  Guided by rich color choices of cobalt blues, emerald greens, and ochre, we selected materials and finishes that created continuous dialog between these palettes throughout the home.
