Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. The whole place is old, yet unused for years. The old stuff was kept as much as possible and it was not easy to deal with it: the marble floor had lots of missing parts, the concrete pillars were full of scrap from tile adhesive. Modern architecture adopts traditional elements, that are present in Bucharest city, in order to compose a unique private residency. Strict tilts, and clear lines create a magical and harmonious material combination. The reflective attribute of the metal ceiling manages to decrease -at least in appearance- the size and the vertical structure of the house. Pasta del Popolo is a small pasta shop located on Zagazului Street, Bucharest. With a workshop atmosphere, the design is iconic and takes on contemporary Italian elements, putting the homemade pasta in the foreground. More

A culinary experience highlighted by the setting of our new home one of the most iconic buildings in Bucharest. Part of the identity of Kane is the interior of the house which was rebuilt to reflect what happens when you invite craftsmen to be progressive and bring their craft into modernity. House S. from Bucharest was built in the '90, but in the meantime, it became obsolete and needed some renovations. We took care of the aestethic, as well as the technical part of the project, by remodelling a new version of the house, inside and outside. We aimed for a minimalistic feel with a warm touch, going light on colours and high on quality. The result is this new, contemporary and family-friendly house that we called House S. More

The story of the design and the nature of the space revolve around the conceptual character that generated the project: Mamizza. She is no longer a person we would anticipate, she is a modern figure, with contemporary twists, but who still makes the same notorious Neapolitan pizza. It is this join between traditional and modern that makes a key element of the design. Pieces made of aged wood prevale, and together with ceramics and metal they generate elements with well defined lines. This creative space was meant to express a contemporary modern vibe, mixing Scandinavian chic influences, Japanese decor, Mid-century furniture and coloured, dynamic accents. Considering the aim of multifunctional needs in space, this project was also created as a cosy, relaxing spot for two, a place of well-being. Interior design work aimed at a youthful stimulating yet calm environment, in a subtle elegance with relaxed notes. The colour scheme through space synthesises the creative ambience concept. Within Rouge Nail Bar's second Bucharest location it was desired to revamp the former aesthetic (created by architect Corvin Cristian) by adapting and preserving a part of its already existing elements while also adding new features. The location's concept was taken from its name; NAIL & BAR thus creating a space in which nails wouldn't be the sole service provided. In this way, a cosy and hip environment was created which can be utilized by patrons with whichever primary use they desire. The space has a distinct industrial yet welcoming and vibrant feel to it.
