House with a Crown
The task was to expand the living space for a young family into an existing 2-story single-family house. In order to keep the burden on the existing building with an additional floor low and to enable a quick construction time, the extension was constructed using timber construction.

Urban Campus
The project to establish a higher education hub takes place on a school site already hosting several institutions. These have been added over time without an overarching plan, so the architectural approach to the project is accompanied by an urban and environmental strategy for organizing the site. This includes proposing green, permeable areas and sports facilities arranged around a pedestrian green axis, rethinking how all the buildings are distributed. Prioritizing sustainable transportation methods helps reduce reliance on cars.
Integrating the campus with the urban fabric.
The site, once an agricultural plot adjacent to Branchoire Park, has been urbanized in patches since the late 1980s, resulting in a diverse mix of bu... More

SFDA.lab
The SFDA.lab addresses the needs of a school group by designing a cafeteria space that allows students to dine informally outside of the school restaurant's regular hours. The project is envisioned as a versatile space that not only serves as a cafeteria but also introduces new functionalities to the school group.
Adrien Fouéré
The project is located at the junction of a 1970s building and a monolithic extension housing the high school. Besides the expressed requirement for a new cafeteria, it appears that certain existing spaces, such as the auditorium or the entrance hall, have reached their maximum capacity or could be enriched with complementary uses. Rather than implementing multiple separate interventions,... More

Johannes Saurer Architekt completes conscientious expansion and conversion of Thun factory building
Swiss architectural studio Johannes Saurer Architekt has completed the conscientious expansion and conversion of a former factory that made stones for watches and later operated as a machine factory. The project conserves the existing space and the expansion meets the needs of its new IT tenants. Maintaining the fabric of the original building, the project reinvigorates and repurposes the tired 20th century factory, making it fit for use in the 21st century.

Extension and internal overhaul '30s house
In the town of Heemstede we renovated and redesigned a typical 1930s house with a new extension on the ground floor. Our starting point for the design of the extension was a visual and spatial connection between the living, the terrace and the spacious and sunny back garden. The floor-to-ceiling oak window frames, the skylight, a beautiful overhang and the wooden cladding of the extension accompany this connection and provide a beautiful space full of daylight with a Japanese appearance.
Studio de Nooyer
The original layout of the house consisted of an en-suite living and dining room, a separate kitchen with a small utility room, and a hall with a spacious staircase that connects these spaces. In our design we have connected the kitch... More
