Overview
Nestled at the end of a Stoke Newington mews sits an extraordinary house recently added to by Whittaker Parsons. The East London studio has meticulously designed a tranquil, low-carbon additional storey built from pre-fabricated timber panels, copper clad with an elegant larch and lime-plastered interior.
Whittaker Parsons set out to design a beautiful, healthy, serene retreat for the homeowners to immerse themselves in the beauty of natural materials and enjoy views of surrounding tree canopies and rooflines.

Grundschule Fuchshofstraße
The Fuchshofschule in Ludwigsburg's west is spatially designed to provide an appropriate place of learning and shared exchange for various large parts of the school community. The new school building, which emerged from a competition, now extends northwards from Fuchshofstraße. Based on the design image of a filled bookshelf on a playground, it was possible to transfer this ideal of school learning between the imparting of knowledge and social interaction into a wooden hybrid building. The three ceiling slabs cantilever out like shelves, offering the school community space for individual filling in the middle of a flowing outdoor area. Aquatics Centre Paris 2024
100 years after it last hosted the Games, Paris gears up for 2024. Having created the design for the Aquatics Centre, architects VenhoevenCS and Ateliers 2/3/4/, are thrilled to witness its realisation. The only permanent new building for the 2024 games - together with the expanded green public space and the new bridge that connects the stadium with the Stade de France and the rest of Paris - the Aquatics Centre is an important investment in the future of Saint-Denis and the Paris metropolitan region.
