On the street side, a 4.5-meter-high retaining wall separates the garden area from the access road. The ground floor, the living area, opens onto the terrace created by this wall, with a large cooking and dining area. The upper floor houses the evening rooms, with living rooms and bedrooms. The attic serves as access to the large roof terrace with views of the Grisons Oberland. Inside and out, the house is constructed in solid masonry and plastered with natural lime mortar, while all fixtures such as windows, doors, and sliding shutters are made of solid wood. The gate tower of the "Hofkellerei" marks the westernmost point of the former court fortifications. Its origins date back to the 14th century.
