Designed by Ameller Dubois, the new Claudine Hermann Secondary School (Collège Claudine Hermann) stands in the southern Paris suburb of Massy, on the Vilgénis site—formerly home to the Air France Aviation Apprenticeship Training Center. Set within 22 hectares of woodland, the school occupies a green setting that supports environmental integration.
Opened for the 2024 academic year, the school stands out for its architectural design and technical rigor. The client set ambitious targets for the 7,200-square-meter facility, aiming for RE2020 compliance at E3C1 level and Biosourced Level 3 certification.

A multi-storey timber residential complex of 67 apartments, which meets Passive House standards. Multi-storey residential timber construction is increasingly being seen in rental housing as an alternative to conventional methods. It is hoped that in addition to the verifiable reduction of CO2 pollution (by about factor 3), the simple production of the building itself will be seen as an attractive alternative to the conventional multi-apartment construction materials.

Planning for this project was won under Paragraph 79, the Country House Clause, with a design taking inspiration from the surroundings.
The overall design is simple and clean. An elegant brick front complements the brickwork of the of garden wall and a discrete front door opening references the gate in the garden wall.
Further down, an oriel window breaks through, hinting at what is behind. Elsewhere, external surfaces are dark render, designed to recede visually in deference to the surrounding garden.
