The study concerns the design of a pocket park with a children’s playground in an empty lot on the main pedestrian street in the mountainous city of Karpenisi. The lot is located at a key urban point which has a direct functional and visual connection with the city’s central square and main church. The entrance to the small park happens through a wide staircase, which creates a smooth transition from the pedestrian street and at the same time a seating area with a view to the park and the playground. The intervention area is located in front of the “Lucia Viano” Kindergarten in the Donatello district of Cuneo. Previously, it was a road section with a space used as a parking lot. With this small children's tree house on the edge of the forest, the idea is to revisit the primitive house from a child's point of view. What kind of house would we have wished for as children? DéDal - David Lo Buglio Probably a "belvedere" house, elevated to observe the distant environment while trying to play with its singularities. The tree house rests on a smaller structure, creating a sense of fragility accentuated by the simplicity and lightness of the whole. The project was created and inspired by the adventures of Nelly Jelly, a popular children’s character in Lithuania. The main idea is the imaginary moon – a place where everything happens differently. The project includes areas for games, birthday rooms and active entertainment.
