Designing a place of events means to take in consideration a series of complex needs, many of them derive from the historical evolution of the space. In the initiation phase and in conjunction with a project developer, we created a plan to convert and transform this remarkable, monumental ensemble located in the heart of Edam. Caption In 2007, a decision was made to fuse three church congregations. A few years later, the result of this fusion was that the Groenland Church was no longer in use. The last mass held in the church was on the 11th of October, 2015. After serving as a church and meeting place for 124 years, the decision was made to sell the entire complex in 2015. The silhouette of Csömör has been complemented by a third bell tower, beside the catholic and evangelical church, the reformed community was given a new home. József Hajdú The rest of the members of Csömör's reformed congregation has moved from villages of bordering countries mainly lived by Hungarians since the 2000s. The new home of the Budaörs Reformed Congregation was built in the center of Budaörs. Zsolt Hlinka The attention-grabbing and inviting but not ostentatious church was built on a long and narrow site.  Zsolt Hlinka József Hajdú Jesus Christ says: "...my Father is the gardener. I am the true vine, you are the branches..." (John 15:1,5) This verb contains the past, as Budaörs used to be a grape-growing region, and the future: the church's mission. The project called for the much needed clearing, creation of accessible external spaces and landscaping around the 16th century Chapel. The aim was to allow all users to be able to enjoy this incredible building and surrounding spaces whilst also making the site secure and functional.
