Paramount Alma Suites is a holiday home project with 15 panoramic apartments, ecological roof with jacuzzi and common areas. The design uses the concept of combining construction and topography, the use of faceted wood strips and light-filled interiors with accented colors. Marion Lafogler, Michael Pezzei Marion Lafogler, Michael Pezzei Floor-to-ceiling glass and spacious balconies bring the surrounding panorama into the suites. The dominant material is the region's larch wood. Wood is combined with details and color variations, depending on the shade of the floor. At Policlinico Gemelli a former basement archive was turned into one of the most advanced medical training centers. There were no openings to the outside, the sunlighIPSE Center - Interactive Patient Simulation Experiencet sensation was recreated by designing large eyes; corridors are fluid spaces where colors and materials stand for orientation codes. Relax areas and interactive technology were arranged irregularly throughout the training centre, it’s not disorder but it has to be consider as unpredictability, change, discovery. The building is situated in the countryside near Genova, surrounded by a chestnut trees woods.Before the refurbishment works, the house was characterized by a long corridor that completely cut the flat, leading to the several rooms arranged on both its sides. The project changed this one-directional principle by demolishing half of this corridor and introducing a cross-shaped furniture that manages the whole house introducing a second direction.This huge furniture contains a stairs - connecting to an attic upstairs - and the suspended kitchen cabinets in the shorter cross arm, while the longer cross arm hosts the main closet and shelfs of the house.
