My Front Yard is a retail community that utilizes space that is traditionally neglected in commercial architecture. By prioritizing roof tops, open-air circulation and neighborhood planning, the project avoids the monolithic "big box" retail approach for decentralized, low-rise pavilions that invite exploration and curiosity. Architectkidd Situated in front of a hillside in Phuket, the layout of My Front Yard utilizes a non-linear arrangement of buildings. By breaking the retail program into smaller blocks, Architectkidd created a series of courtyards and landscaped pockets. A "Three-Dimensional Neighborhood" Designed for Social Interaction Urbanized Public CommunityLocated in the southwest of Quzhou City, the Quzhou Lixian Future Community extends to Xinyuan Road in the east, Shuanggang Bridge in the south, the Qujiang River in the west, and faces Yanjiayu Island across the river. The master plan emphasizes openness. The neighborhood center and community kindergarten are centrally located to facilitate resource sharing. The Coffee Park pavilion is located at the heart of the Côte‑des‑Neiges | Notre‑Dame‑de‑Grâce borough, at the intersection of De Maisonneuve Boulevard and Broadway Avenue, slightly set back from the park’s main circulation routes. It appears as a discreet, welcoming contemporary pavilion, evoking a single‑storey house that is legible and reassuring, scaled to the families and children who use the site. The architectural concept is based on a simple, almost archetypal volume: a small, pitched‑roof chalet finely shaped by its envelope.
