Nestled within the vibrant hub of Jigani—an industrial enclave renowned for its marble processing and trading—in the suburban tapestry of Bangalore, an ambitious blueprint unfolds for a commercial complex. Rhythmically screened Façade upon the crystalline vision laid out in the client's brief, where aspirations and functional requisites converge to craft a cohesive narrative. The Tranquil apartment is located at the end of the food street, in V.V Puram, Bangalore. The structure is strategically layered between the residential locality and the ever bustling and lively food street. The area adorns a contemporary character from the contrasting old colonial structures and temples. The design team wanted the characteristic of the surrounding area to be portrayed in the façade. The inside out façade allows the inmates to be in ode with nature. This also allows ample sunlight to veil the interiors. The building is designed to impart strong timeless characteristic to the building, with the pattern taking inspiration from deep cultural roots. The Fusion of traditional Indian architecture and contemporary office space cum residential space acts as a barrier for harsh west sun and reduces heat gain but also ensuring no artificial light is required during the day. The clients brief of cultural connect, inspired us to translate a traditional Indian façade pattern to create a responsive built form.
