MVRDV frames colored glass in an asymmetric brass pattern for Bulgari Bangkok storefront
Bangkok’s Bulgari flagship store is the second store for the Italian brand by MVRDV, after completing the Kuala Lumpur storefront in 2018, using a combination of concrete and resin. This time MVRDV opted for a glass in varying colours and transparency framed in an asymmetric pattern.

Similar to the Kuala Lumpur design, MVRDV was inspired by the cornice forms they found in the marble framed windows of Bulgari’s first store in Rome, which opened in 1905. This time they filled the striking patterned frames with varying colors of glass in different degrees of transparency.

Decorative cornices and Window Surrounds in Zarauz
This construction of 50 high quality homes, required a constructive solution composed of 2 special pieces; decorative cornices located at different heights and window surrounds on the top floor. The challenge we faced was the need to make pieces with a complex design and unique shapes identical to those already present, aiming to add extra quality, whilst maintaining the cost and facilitating installation. For this reason, we decided to custom make the pieces in polymer concrete. More

Emblematic building in A Coruña
ULMA Architectural Solutions has supplied special pieces for a distinguished building of 200 homes in Boiro town centre in A Coruña. Among the special pieces designed and supplied, we can highlight a large cornice surrounding the entire building, crowning it to give it great strength. In addition to the above-mentioned cornice, another series of smaller cornices were also made, as well as special window sills matching the cornices and large pilasters and window surrounds, providing elegance and making the building stand out. Cornices custom-designed in Biarritz
The palatial-style villa at the centre of this restoration, built at the beginning of the 20th century, required large areas of its facade to be restored, particularly the upper cornices. These were evidently deteriorated by the passage of time and the marine environment. For this purpose, we used cornices custom-designed for the project. The estate had previously undergone several restorations, but they were never permanent, and this was the aim with the polymer concrete pieces, to achieve a permanent, long-lasting action. More
