The Civic Gallery of Trento is a new exhibition space of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto. The main concept is a structured and flexible space that offers different backgrounds and ambiances to the artists for their exhibitions. The contrast between open spaces and separated, closed room, together with the variation of the lightining types, involves users through different spatial emotions. The use of neutral colors and materials emphasizes light effects and ensures an optimum setting for any installation. For insurer MS Amlin, we have designed and realised a new office interior on the 10th and 11th floor of the WTC Rotterdam. The remarkable oval design of the monumental building is clearly visible on both floors and defines the lay out of the interior. The corridor zone runs along both sides of the oval core and forms a connecting element for all spaces. By using this core for various functions, the daylight area is free for workstations along the sides. The choice to use different shades of gray combined with black details makes it a completely calm, sleek and contemporary design. Pet food producer Nutreco needed to consolidate multiple office locations in the Netherlands into one global hub. In Amersfoort, Nutreco found a building that ticked all the boxes in terms of square footage and physical location, but its interior was extremely obsolete. The typical 90s layout, with its many dark corners, made the working area stifling, even claustrophobic. The client needed to transform the building into an open and transparent workspace, an innovative place that facilitates people meeting people.The answer is comprised in one ‘grand gesture’ in the design: a broad corridor zone through the building that serves a connecting function, as a sort of boulevard. Solid Professionals is an ambitious company with an informal culture. And the company is growing, which is why it is moving from one end of the high-profile Maliebaan boulevard in Utrecht to the other.It’s a modest move with a big impact. The new location is a stately old office villa, typical of the Maliebaan, but ill-suited for an open plan office. That’s why DZAP developed the new office around a central corridor. Holla Advocaten are a law firm with a genuine interest in the people behind their cases. They have offices in 's-Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven. The firm asked DZAP to revamp the office concept and feel of their existing office in 's-Hertogenbosch. Particularly the public areas, such as the reception, meeting and lunch areas, were in need of a new look and feel. Keywords for the interior design were intimate, contemporary, light, transparent, socially dynamic, open, personable and humorous. The MVRDV project is built on a beautiful site by a small lake in the English countryside near Thorington in Suffolk. From the road, the barn is almost invisible; the front being only 7 metres wide, with a pitched roof, faces the long straight driveway approach, suggesting a small house with a traditional shape. The volume, however, has a length of 30 metres. At the midpoint it starts to cantilever over the descending slope; a balancing act made possible by the rigid structure of the building; resulting in 50% of the barn being in free space, and giving a wide view over the Suffolk landscape, adjacent lake and surrounding gardens.
