The owners of this house, which has a beautiful view of the lake and the forest in Quinta da Baroneza, in Brazil, have always been fans of Gilda Meirelles Arquitetura's work. Situated on an almost flat rectangular plot of land, the plot is oriented in a Northeast/Southwest direction culminating in a pine forest. FG+SG We designed Meco’s house from the regeneration of a pre-existing house, with the idea of giving it a new character, rebuilding it with another quality. FG+SG The main feature of the house is the relationship with the outside, being rebuilt in a single floor and endowed with a transparent façade that creates a panorama over the pine forest to the southwest from a large glazed area. The building is located amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Greater Poland Lake District, surrounded by hills filled with meadows, pastures, and forests. The area is rich in beautiful views, naturally encouraging relaxation and enjoyment of the local scenery. On the site stood a small Brda-type house, the first home of the Investors in their "adult" lives, which, in the spirit of re-use, was not destroyed but given to another young couple for use on their property. The new house stands on the site of a previous rural building which was carefully demolished to recover all possible materials, including: the original bricks, some beams and old tiles. The barn is surrounded by nature. The natural elements that surround it enter and characterize the space. A vertical force that will enrich the ceiling and a horizontal force that will divide the space into various areas and create the filter blocks. Vertical force given by the sky element, by the clouds and by the light of the stars. Horizontal force given by the hill element and the animals that inhabit the space. Aprox. 450m2 Country House located in Cieneguilla, Lima, Peru, in the "La Quebrada" Condominium. The site is a aprox. 1500m2 and it is located in the highest part of the condominium, overlooking the valley. The house is developed in two floors.
