SpaceInvader has completed the interior design of Stockroom, a transformative £14.5m cultural and creative hub at the heart of Stockport Town Centre. In the city of Sedhiou there are no designated places where local culture can be handed down, therefore there is a need to create a cultural center that serves three main functions:-Education-Exhibitions-Performances NEAR project The project is divided into two main concepts:-the open space is defined by the volumes that host the main activities, and is protected by a mangrove sun shading system, six meters above;-the boundaries between inside and outside are non-defined which allows access from all directions, similarly to how art and culture can be interpreted: human activity is a continuous evolution that is open to everyone. Offering a panoramic view of the city and the spectacular light installations in Stavros Niarchos Park in Athens, this pop-up bar was specially designed for the Christmas holiday season. Vassilis Makris Vassilis Makris Vassilis Makris Shaped like a labyrinthine red Christmas lantern, it functions as a giant music box. At its center, a DJ, surrounded by warm, flame-like lighting, invites visitors to step inside and discover the magic within. The playful geometry of the design creates an engaging journey to the heart of the installation, while the vibrant red surroundings and luminous atmosphere set the stage for a lively gathering space, radiating the spirit of Christmas. Creating a hub for social and cultural enterprises through an innovative circular design approach. The Kaserne area –a former military barracks complex in central Basel– has undergone several transformations over the years, the most recent one has seen the prominent building become a leading hub of social and cultural enterprises in Switzerland. The main building of the Kaserne was renovated by Focketyn del Rio, opening it up towards the city and the river Rhine. Located on Phillip Island, Berninneit, (meaning to 'gather together') creates a new purpose-built public building to support a range of uses including a theatre, library, gallery, museum, community function rooms and offices. Evoking the region’s natural geology and topography, the design feels inherently connected to and of its place. Warm, pink-cream brick references nearby sand dunes and beaches, whilst internal timber columns speak to the island’s jetties and pier structures.
