Vocational school for construction trades

The new vocational school for construction trades is located in a central area of Zurich, Switzerland. Gunz & Künzle Architects designed the building to maximize the number of classrooms while also creating valuable public spaces for the neighborhood. The slender building follows the street and creates a spacious courtyard that connects to the public functions on the school's first floor. Herzog & de Meuron realizes first phase of Hotel Hermitage Luzern redesign

After four months of construction, Herzog & de Meuron completed the first phase of the Hotel Hermitage redesign of the reception, lobby, bar and 20 rooms. The hotel, located on the shoreline of lake Lucerne, recently reopened its doors in April. Paolo Abate The entrance renovation is conceived as a temporary pop-up space. The boldly red colored lobby intentionally resembles a large living room. The furniture upholstery and curtains give the space a theatrical note. This exercise would involve a complete transformation of her lifestyle, still anchored in a past that she was hard to leave behind. The ground floor was arranged in the open plan as a living area. Bestseller is a world-wide fashion group with shops in over 70 countries, featuring well-known brands such as Vero Moda, Jack & Jones, Only, Pieces and several others. The new office complex for about 800 employees is therefore intended as a showroom for Bestseller’s design-driven corporate identity, andresembles a varied flotilla of buildings at different levels, which are connected by a series of outdoor spaces like atria, courtyards, terraces and roof gardens.
