An existing house from the seventies that tried to follow the original style in Polanco of the “colonial style residences” originally designed in 1937, without success achieving a structure with little architectural and cultural value.A challenging space in terms of its dimensions, rugged spaces and construction systems, this project was born that was conceptually planned in a 3-year process. It conceives a comprehensive project with 4 different programs: a store, a cafe, a restaurant and a green roof .

United Cycling Lab & Store
The United Cycling LAB & Store is a retail space that fosters knowledge, learning and innovation and perhaps even more importantly, inspires people to dream.
The showroom is designed to elevate the displayed Argon 18 bicycles and to interpret their sovereignty. It is a chapel for the bicycles and offers an invitation to admire the products for their technical superiority, to inspect and to touch them.
All the included design elements serve this purpose: bicycles floating in the air, a ceiling height of almost 6 meters, illuminated display furniture and mirrored glass that gives the illusion of an infinite lines of bicycles floating in the air. “The store of the future will be a cultural catalyst”, says Bran... As is the way of retail, Rapha Cycling Club goes beyond the storefront to create a lifestyle center for its customers. Their clubhouses function as inspiring meeting places for road riders around the world. But each clubhouse is also unique and strives to represent the local community just as well as the global community.
Cushing Terrell worked with Rapha to complete tenant improvement work on both their Seattle, WA and Boulder, CO locations, taking brand design xdocumentation and translating it into buildable construction drawings. More

Service Course
An original design for a singular concept: An upscale cycling shop that includes a repair- tune-up facilities is skillfully laid out around a geometrical shaped platform that serves as sporty showcase for high end cycling products. The space is divided in three zones: First, the glass enclosed tune-up zone is set directly on the street while looking onto the reception and service areas. It’s dropped ceiling and and crisp steel shelving are clearly visible for any walk-in and thirdly, the very unique velodrome section showcasing the ultra-modern selection of performance bicycles.
