Contextualized in a historical moment of change in Mexico, Dichotomies of Power invites the visitor's interpretive capacity to immerse himself in three dimensions of the representation of power: The first, real and represented by the smelting room, which summarizes the long extinct colonial tradition of coin production - the most widely used way of representing the economic power of a nation. The second, symbolic and represented by the pyramids, which refers to the ancestral "power", symbol of universal power in different cultures of the world. Growth is something we all strive for. But is what we call growth actually growth? The “market” acts as an authority and point of reference in our lives. It has taken hostage of our common idea of growth. To endure the pain, we collectively embark on a quest of “fixing the problem”, using the same approach that got us into this mess in the first place. We anxiously mend and maintain this idea of growth by adding prefixes: sustainable, equal, social, green, etc. Like a fairy tale no one believes in anymore but still needs to pursue. We are living a moment in history where the path of fossil energies has again made a turn … back, as the dramatic Ukrainian war seems to bifurcate towards an already confirmed anthropocentric destruction. From a simple, elegant glass elevation, the Roman Villa Museum focuses its view towards a landscape which reinterprets the ruins of Hadspen Roman Villa. Hadspen Roman Villa was discovered in 1832 . Excavations of the site took place between 1968 and 1970. This revealed structural remains, pottery, coins and part of a mosaic floor which suggested a substantial Villa. Further excavations in 2015 revealed the true extent of the Villa and its outbuildings. It had been built, adapted and enlarged from the 3rd to the 5th centuries AD. Modular display system designed for dairy specialist Caseificio Palazzo. The company - a large scale retail trade operator - in a wider operation of brand repositioning chose to embrace a different image, shifting from traditional folklore to a contemporary urban feel. Disco Distancia is a project that was featured during the Mextropoli Architecture Festival at the Los Pinos Cultural Center in Mexico City, Mexico.  The open-air pavilion pays tribute to local dance groups that gather in public spaces throughout Mexico City, but haven’t been able to practice their craft during the ongoing pandemic.  The various sculptures arranged in the public plaza project shadows into the ground creating an effect of a party which invites new visitors to join in and experience different dance styles throughout the pavilion.     Caption The main concept of the pavilion is to use shadows as a way to represent people, their body movements, and various dance styles that used to take place in p... Nissen Richards Studio has once again worked with client Historic Royal Palaces - this time on a new, temporary exhibition at London’s Kensington Palace. Life Through a Royal Lens explores the Royal Family through photography and brings together in one place some of the most iconic images of the Royal Family ever taken.
