ALICE (acronym for A Large Ion Collider Experiment) is one of the seven detectors or experiments located alongside the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, Geneva (Switzerland). A journey to the volcanoes world from the interior of a volcano. This is what the new volcanoes, science, and society benchmark centre, Espai Cràter, offers to the public. Located in Olot, inside the Puig del Roser volcano, the new building offers a fully interactive exhibition, created by Indissoluble and designed for all ages, that goes from the origin of the universe to the present, explaining the volcanoes of the Garrotxa and the rest of the world. Indissoluble designs and produces the Visitor Center for SM18, a 750 m2 building where large magnets and radiofrequency cavities are tested and validated, to be later used in the collider’s ring. Talking Brains is an exhibition that creates experiences, incites imagination and shows how language connects to our biology. It has a fully immersive design that walks the visitor from the origins of mankind and language to their complex evolution. It’s an experience that goes beyond the exhibition walls thanks to the use of RFID cards. This technology allows to identify visitors and personalize their experience: the contents are shown in the language of choice and the installations can be enriched with personal data like date of birth, experiments results or the scores of games.
