Design parking

Along the left side of the river stands a two-building complex, one of the buildings looking over the water, the other one facing uphill, both joined in a single property since the late 1800s. Between the two palaces there’s a common garden, a very interesting example of that period’s environmental architecture, created according to the principles of the modern English-style landscape garden, with lovely perspective effects. One of the largest bicycle parking garages in the Netherlands has been built underneath the Koningin Julianaplein in The Hague, right in front of the Central Station. Silo developed a powerful spatial concept that transforms parking your bike into a museum-like experience. The unconventional result enhances comfort and safety for the thousands of daily users. The site for the parking house stands at the center of what is to become a desirable mixed-use urban neighborhood of culture, work and living. The culture house, the future concert hall, library and other urban improvements, together with Dr. Milady Horákové Park are transforming this part of Ostrava. Metadecor realized the façade cladding of the new De Revius Leeuwarden car park on Reviusstraat / Tesselschadestraat. The design has formed a reference to the poet Revius and the goal of giving the place more value by facilitating parking, making it a pleasant, green place to stay.   Aluminum facades, with MD design perforation with a floral pattern, a nod to a poem by Jacobus Revius (1586-1658) "Schoon is het goud". During the day the motif gives a special light pattern on the inside. In the evening, the bronze-colored façade provides a friendly and not annoying lighting, like a table lamp.
