INSCAPE, a new meditation concept, opened in Manhattan 2016. Archi-Tectonics designed the Inscape concept not only as a one-off, but also for worldwide distribution. The first PROTO space in Chelsea occupies a large 6000sf ground floor. The space contains a set of large volumes; ellipsoid meditation spaces; a “Dome Room” and an “Alcove room”, an extensive retail space, as well as a lounge for guests. The CETI Dome House is a one-of-a-kind design that combines the modern look of a glass dome with the practicality of a passive house that results in a sustainable eco-friendly home.This 140 square meter dome house is made by merging two domes, one of 10 meters in diameter and one of 5 meters in diameter. Our company Biodomes designs and manufactures custom metal and glass geodesic domes. Our goal is to create structures whose function is as important as their form. The project is driven by the ambition to make ILLUM into the shopping destination of the Scandinavian Countries. The material used are mainly natural as they give a warm and distinctive touch to the overall space. By walking into the store, the visitor is welcomed by a clear visual order and by a serene atmosphere. The floor finish of the overall ground floor is Dreamwhite stone. Diergaarde Blijdorp is about to gain a new attraction in a new South-America themed zone of the zoo. The structure will enclose a complete biotope of flora and fauna: a tropical rain forest with a river, reptiles, turtles and butterflies. Arc2 created an adventure paradise with jungle bridges, net tunnels, rope ladders, slides and lianas for Hengrove Playpark in Bristol. The play structures are suspended from the dome roof, providing a thrilling sensation for children ascending to reach them. The geodesic dome, diameter 25 metres, is constructed of timbers of Azobé hardwood. Beneath the dome, children can safely indulge in vigorous play activities such as climbing, running and sliding. The DinoDome is Europe’s largest indoor children’s playground. A dome measuring 56 metres in diameter provides an elegant roof over the palatial playground. The grid of slender timber struts reveals the fascinating structure of the geodesic dome, and the star-shaped rooflight creates an enchanted atmosphere. A walkway links different zones with a maze, a pool, a refreshment terrace and a jungle. Conference rooms are located in the chambers of the nautilus shell beneath the main hall. More
